 NEEM IS THE ULTIMATE HEALER.
It is known as"INDIAN LILAC' or AZADIRACHTA INDICA scientifically

  • This thick evergreen tree is perhaps one of the oldest and most popular medicinal plant. All its parts- leaves, bark, roots,seeds and flowers are valuable and can be used for treating various ailments.
  • Neem contains a very pungent essential oil, NIMBIN and fatty acids.
  • It contains calcium and vitaminA.
  • Neem has a strong antiseptic property and is a good air purifier. Its odour wards off mosquitoes and harmful insects.
  • It is useful in preventing malaria, cholera and other infections.
  • Neem is helpful in treating skin rashes, boils and pimples.
  • It arrests the rapid fall of hair.
  • It is used to treat eye diseases.
  • It strengthen the teeth and gum.
  • It is widely used in the cure of eczema, asthma , joint pains, piles and ear infections.
HOW  CAN WE USE NEEM AND ITS EXTRACTS IN DAY- TO - DAY  LIFE TO GET RID OF VARIOUS AILMENTS
  • Drink diluted juice of neem leaves with a teaspoon of honey to cure liver disorders.
  • Can be taken when recuperating from the jaundice as this flushes out  the toxins from the system.
  • Eat a few crushed neem leaves every morning , purifies blood and clear impurities from the stomach.
  • Mix 10 to 12 drops of neem oil in a glass of  warm milk and drink in order to be rid of intestinal parasites and worms.
  • Add a bit of neem juice and salt to warm water. Use it as a gargle. Keeps the throat supple and soft. Cures throat infections.
         

  • Singers often use neem gargles to keep their vocal chords resonant and clear.
  • A paste made from crushed neem leaves can be applied on boils, chronic ulcers and pimples.
  • Chewing leaves in the morning is an excellent cure for acne problem.
  • Mix crushed neem leaves with curd. Apply this paste on skin affected with eczema for quick relief.
        

  • Dried neem leaves can also be applied on itching lesions during measles and chicken pox.
  • Crush neem leaves and mix with water to make a thin paste. Strain through a muslin cloth and apply to the eyes every night. This is a good remedy for night blindness.
  • Soak neem leaves in a bowl of water for few hours. Use the water to sprinkle on the eyes. Brings relief to itching eyes and removes minor infections.
   

  • If the eye is swollen and inflammed , you can warm this water prepared above and soak a soft cloth in it to apply to the affected eye. It relieves the pain and reduces inflammation.
   


.Datun is used to clean the teeth and gums. Datun is neem stick.                    
    

  •  Add 50 gm. of neem leaves to 250 gm. of mustard oil. Bring to the boil and cook for few minutes. Cool and strain this decoction. Store in a bottle and keep handy for applying on cuts, wounds and burns.
  •          
  • Make a paste by pounding the bark of neem and apply this on the joints to relieve joint pains.
