  • Ginger has many curative properties and is widely used in preparing medicines in India. Ginger has been recognized for its medicinal properties since ancient times. It contains iron , vitamin C , calcium , carotene an phosphorus . This  herb is available throughout the year and is highly antiseptic in nature.

HOW TO USE GINGER
  • If you have nasty cough, you can even have ginger juice mixed with honey two to three times a day for quick relief.
  • If suffering from blocked nose and infected sinuses take the decoction: Add a juice of one lemon, one teaspoon ginger juice and one tablespoon sugar to a cup of boiling water. Drink just before going to bed. Repeat for two three days for relief.
  • Boil a fresh pieces of ginger in a cup of water for a few minutes, add a spoon of honey. Drink this two-three times after meals daily for checking menstrual pain.
  • You can prepare ginger tea by boiling a few pieces of fresh ginger in water. Throw in some tulsi leaves as well. Add tea leaves after boiling for two minutes. It's very useful for sore throat, cure fever and cold.
  • Mix fine slices of ginger, with slit green chillies, salt and vinegar. have as salad or preserve as a pickle.
  • It is used as a popular spice for flavouring biscuits, bread, pickles, cakes and puddings .

  • Ginger has a refreshing and cooling effect on the body. Ginger soda is a healthy drink to have in a hot summer.
  • It keeps you energize and active.  


How to make ginger soda ?
Take 500 grams ginger, the juice of three large lemons and sugar and salt according to taste.
Mix in a blender. Strain the juice. Store the concentrate in a bottle. Add fresh soda or water. Makes for a refreshing drink.
